Hello from Kenya!
Today was a travel day as we made our way to Meru, near Mt. Kenya. This is where the real work begins, as we prepare to build the long-anticipated Kizazi homes. The drive was long, but never dull. Kenya is so full of beauty, and there was so much to see along the way!

In addition to taking in the incredible scenery, we spent much of the drive preparing for the church services we will be participating in tomorrow. We enjoyed singing together while Anita helped us practice some worship songs. What we lack in natural talent, we more than make up for with enthusiasm! We also gathered in our groups to finalize plans for the Lead Like Jesus leadership training program we will be presenting to the students at Khatari Girls School tomorrow afternoon.
The best part of the day came when the Muswii family was presented with their new home. Because their house was located farther away than the others, construction began before our arrival due to time constraints. Diane and Bob Reich sponsored this home, and what makes the story even more special is that they have also been sponsoring the family's oldest daughter, Jakkini, who attends Khatari Girls School.
The family came into town to meet Jakkini’s sponsors and to work alongside our team this week. It was beautiful to witness their long-awaited meeting, but there truly was not a dry eye in the room when they were presented with the title to their home. Overwhelmed with gratitude, they began praising God through song and praying blessings over all of us. Their joy and thankfulness were unmistakable, and more importantly, they know this gift comes from Him alone. They kept saying it was something they never imagined was possible, but God is so good!
It was such a beautiful moment.

This home will change everything for the Muswii family. They currently have no place of their own to live and have been relying on the kindness of friends for shelter. Seeing their prayers answered in such a tangible way was incredibly moving.

It was a joyful ending to our day and a wonderful reminder of what this mission trip is all about.
Once again, thank you all so very much! Through your generosity, support, and prayers, truly life-changing things are happening. We thank God for each of you and for the abundance He has provided. We are deeply grateful to be here and to have you sharing in this journey with us.
